- Primitivo
- 1. Best sangria in town.
- 2. The waitresses are super friendly and will help you with any question.
- 3. You seriously cant go wrong w their tapas. Get everything.
- 4. I honestly cant think of a bad tip for this place.
- 5. The Gnocci is to die for.
- 6. Bacon wrapped dates. Make it happen.
- 7. The shrimp is kinda hard and overcooked.
- 8. It gets so packed during Art Walk or First Fridays.
- 9. Please bring back the Pulpo Salad!!
- 10. Their back patio seating is soooo pretty!
- The Otherroom
- 1. The line to get into this place is always terrible.
- 2. Lots of great boutique wines.
- 3. Meatmarket. Over it.
- 4. The best time to go is 5pm when they open, especially on a warm day.
- 5. Great beers on tap.
- 6. They don't serve hard liquor at all.
- 7. You can bring in outside food, pretty awesome considering all the food trucks on AK.
- 8. Bad place for a first date.
- 9. Dark. Like, suspiciously dark.
- 10. Grab one of the back rooms if you can grab seats.
- French Market Cafe
- 1. Breakfast is off the hook here!
- 2. You can't go wrong with the croque madame.
- 3. The patio is dog friendly.
- 4. They have a lot of outdoor seating.
- 5. The service is slow, but they are french, so they are not in a hurry like us americans.
- 6. Everyone speaks French, so you can practice your French.
- 7. Best salads: campagnarde salad and nicoise salad.
- 8. Wonderful french onion soup...yum.
- 9. Cool newstand inside with french magazines and newspapers.
- 10. They have amazing French roast and Guatemalen coffee.
- The Tasting Kitchen
- 1. The braveheart cocktail is the best
- 2. Get the cheese and charcuterie, its really good. They always change it up.
- 3. The best drinks I've ever had!
- 4. THE best most serious mixologist bartenders.
- 5. Very expensive.
- 6. Dont order pasta, its a rip off because the portions are small.
- 7. They tend to sell out of food if you go at the end of the night
- 8. Tres leche dessert!!!!
- 9. The butter lettuce salad is amazing.
- 10. Order the bruchetta with figs, walnuts, balsamic and burrata.
- Casablanca
- 1. FRESH hand made tortillas!!
- 2. Hole in the wall mexican restaurant. Totally worthwhile.
- 3. Tequila cart rolls right up to your table to fix you custom margarita.
- 4. Chips and salsa. Done.
- 5. Nothing a little Tapatillo couldnt fix.
- 6. Stick with the basics. This place is great.
- 7. Get there for the mariachi band!!
- 8. Skip the gross heavy desserts, unless you are ready for a food coma.
- 10. Fajitas are a steal. Huge portions, enough for 2, and still have leftovers.
- Intelligentsia
- 1. Way too expensive for coffee. :-/
- 2. Richest, creamiest latte ever!
- 3. The Angeleno is amazing. Get ready for blast-off.
- 4. Red velvet mini cake is awesome.
- 5. Lousy dry pastries.
- 6. They french press every cup of coffee.
- 7. People here are sooo post-everything
- 8. They have outdoor seating in front of Browns Hardware.
- 9. The most hipster baristas on the planet.
- 10. Definitely get a pound of their beans...if you can afford it.
